Manxboysblog
Hi, been away from blog world 'cos PC had to be moved and set up again and I'd forgotten the password ! Any way past that hurdle and here we are. How can Bill Oddie do a voice over for B&Q ? Seems hypocritical somehow ! Anyway enough of that, spent the day yesterday on the Norfolk coast, which is quite lovely especially around Blakeney point and the seeming endless flat sea marshes. Great crab and sea food available should that be your bag daddyo. Avoid Cromer, its' tatty and a homage to caravans, hundreds of caravans in fact, great fleets of the nasty things lined up in gulag lines across perfectly good fields. They remind me of troops of coffins waiting for their occupants, which seems apt. Didn' see any seals but lots of interesting sea birds and even some sheep. And gorse, big yellow clumps of thick clumps of healthy gorse so close to the sea it reminded me of the Isle of Man, as did the incessant squawking black headed sea gulls. Also went to a rather nice NT house in Felbrigg, mix of Jacobean and late Victorian extension, with some marvellous Cedar and Oak trees set off in long country walks. Good tea room too. I have some pics which I shall down load shortly.
Garden is looking good, Ladybirds flitting around in tiny red waves, chasing butterflies and most of the migratory birds have returned. Flowers and trees seem a bit behind, the recent cold week as put things back again, the blossom tree in our garden as burst out over the last week. See pic. Must get a water butt though, shame to waste the rainwater, my blueberry plant prefers rainwater anyway.
The cataclysmic worm bin scenario has also been made good, the second batch of worms are living quite happily in a dark, stinking world of decomposing fruit and vege, chewing on the leftovers and creating fresh compost for the apple, blackberry, gooseberry and redcurrants tree / bushes.
My knee ? Hmm another story for another day.
