Sunday
Well had an especially stessful and demanding week at work and pulled a muscle in my lower right back. So haven't done much training and therefore feeling guilty. Aggravated my knee by running for a train on thurs evening and am trying to avoid painkillers..they do work but ihave this irrational fear of dependency and images of ruptured stomach linings.!
Today however, the sun is shining in as I write tingling my toes with warmth. Its such a lovely day must go and potter around in garden, need to go and see new worms and feed them. Do some weeding and tidying up. Had a sleep in and having a naughty breakfast of hot cross buns / jam and Russian caravan tea. There is a tea/ coffee stall in my local market in Cambridge which sells a range of tea @ coffee. I like teas, and try different varities. We went to Sri Lanka a few years ago, which i strenously recommend to anyone thinking of going, and we visited a tea plantation. We took tea on the verandah overlooking the sloped hills covered in tea bushes in the blazing sun, the choc cake melted if we left it too long. All very colonial and Empire dont you know old boy. Good though.
The top grade teas are marked BOPF which measn Broken Orange pekoe fanning, and then down the scale from BOP etc etc. I think there are 17 grades of tea and the sweepings of the factory floor go in teabags, so if like me youra tea head, buy loose tea and get an infuser. Wife bought me a great valentines day present, a clear glass bodum tea pot with an inbuilt infuser. You can watch the tea swirling and twisting around as it brews to the strength of your own preference. Very relaxing, and the tea leaves go into the wormery worm house for recycling.
So buy loose tea and brew as your grandma used to do. Say no to tea bags and recycle.
